Primitives in arrangement. Forms, navigation, overlays, tables, banners — the grammar built from the alphabet.
Pick a primitive to drop into the derivation. Each atom is a constraint field — proportion, rhythm, surface tension, light, scale.

A horizontal wood-linear field along the lower half of a vertical surface.
An atom is a constraint field — a primitive of design that cannot be decomposed further. Twenty atoms, composed through cultural and material mirrors, generate every interior design term we have names for.
A brief is parsed into atoms. The atoms are projected through mirrors. Each mirror combination yields a candidate term. The composer ranks candidates by compressibility and material logic.
Three: cultural (georgian, victorian, art deco…), material (wood, stone, metal…), audience (residential, commercial, hospitality…). Each mirror transforms an atom configuration into a culturally and materially specific term.
Derivations beyond depth 8 fail to converge. The system raises an error and suggests a different mirror configuration. This is a feature, not a bug — beyond 8, the term ceases to be culturally legible.
